San Diego Jazz Trio

The SD Jazz Trio is a trio a jazz trio based out of San Diego, CA.The band

plays a wide variety of styles within the jazz repertoire. Everything from classic standards to popular tunes the SD Jazz trio makes sure to cover all basis for different events and parties.

Jonny Tarr

Paul McCartney personally handed him his music degree and he has performed on the Jazz World Stage at Glastonbury Festival in the UK. Originally from Britain, Jonny Tarr has made Southern California his home base. His talent is incredibly unique in that he will loop sax, guitar, keyboard, flute, harmony, and beat-box tracks into a full-blown song; in one live solo take. He scales from Solo up into Full Band and will sound like Michael Jackson, Hall & Oats, Steely Dan, and Radiohead.

A 9-piece band part of a new movement in popular music. A band that honors the international cross-pollination that has always made music the universal language.

They use any beat that catches their ear, regardless of geography or genre, to create a compelling, horn driven polyrhythmic groove. They continue exploring the multifaceted grooves of Latin America and the Caribbean, incorporating the sounds of Cuba, Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil with the funk, rock, jazz and hip-hop rhythms of their homeland, dropping bits of Cumbia, Salsa, gritty street Samba, Son Montuno, Jarocho and Boogaloo into the mix.

Lovaas plays with the boundaries of pop, acoustic, and electronic music, crafting a variant that retains pop’s effortless melodies while exchanging the genre’s cosmetic compositions for sincere and wistful love stories.

With a unique fanbase stemmed from the heart of Pacific Beach BoomSnap was a raw, Funky Power of three San Diego natives, who captured the hearts of more and more fans with every performance.

They drew influences from early funk, jazz, hip hop, and progressive rock, BoomSnap truly had a sound of their own.

Omo Child

A Documentary project I recorded and played on with Eric Poline as the Producer. Won Ottawa International Film Festival Best Original Music

Omo Child: The River and The Bush tells the amazing true story of one man’s journey to bring about a progressive cultural shift that will save children’s lives. Lale Labuko, born and raised in the Kara tribe in the Omo Valley, Ethiopia learns of “mingi” at age 15. Children born out of wedlock, or whose top teeth grow in before their bottom teeth, or even those who are born a twin, are killed by virtue of this ancient tradition that deems them “mingi”, or cursed. Lale strives to not only save these children’s lives but to also lift the “burden” from the shoulder’s of the Kara people; he adopts these children as his own. Lale attempts to reconcile with Kara elders to end this tradition forever in order to ultimately protect the longevity of his people and his culture. Filmed over a five year period this documentary paints stunning portraits of Ethiopian landscapes as it follows Lale's journey where he confronts his own death, negotiates deeply rooted superstition, and navigates the difficult position of leading a cultural movement.

As of October 2015,the film had managed to pick up 24 awards around the world.

Caravan to Cabo

Driving down from San Diego to Los Cabos 2 separate years. The first year I played with the band 'Todo Mundo' and the next year I performed with 'Mike Pinto' and the 'Ambassador'. Playing a music festival at a surf competition in Los Cabos along the way experiencing a new culture and landscape.

Todo Mundo blends the musical flavors of Rumba, Reggae, Samba, Gypsy, and other South American and Caribbean rhythms and sounds into an irresistible groove that lifts the spirits of all who hear it.

Todo Mundo believes that music, as the universal language, is the best way to unite the world. Won "Best World Music Band" 2011.
